Certificates and Quality

The AEO Certificate (Authorised Economic Operator) is a certificate provided by the customs office to companies that operate on an international level. An AEO certificate offers organisations certain advantages in international trading. For example, inspections are less strict, which reduces delays at border crossings. To acquire the status of Authorised Economic Operator, a company has to meet several safety criteria. These criteria are based on customs laws and applicable regulations.

MPS-ECAS is a certification organisation allied to MPS. MPS-ECAS is active in the field of product, system and inspection certification in the Netherlands and abroad. As a certification organisation, MPS-ECAS has a leading position both within the Dutch agrarian sector and outside it. For MPS members, MPS-ECAS is the contact for qualifications and audits.

MPS-ECAS has awarded Four Seasons Quality the MPS-Florimark label. For this label, breeders, traders and auctioneers are all evaluated on the same criteria. MPS-Florimark Trade specifically examines the quality and reliability of trading companies and consists of three parts: Florimark TradeCert, Florimark GTP and ISO 9001. For Four Seasons Quality, it is not only important to safeguard the quality processes between various organisations, but also to regularly audit internal processes. That is why we have the ISO certification: this shows that the corporate processes used by Four Seasons Quality lead to our exceptional quality, that they are actively safeguarded and that they are inspected on a yearly basis.

Fair trade is an alternative for conventional trade, based on cooperation between producers and consumers. Fair trade offers small-scale producers in Asia, South America and Africa a fair way of selling their products. By offering fair prices for the products, they are given the chance to build a decent future with an eye for humanity and the environment. Both parties work together to fight poverty in the world. When a product carries the Fairtrade certificate, this means that producers and traders meet the standards set by the Fairtrade organisation.
