The best roses come from Ecuador. The Ecuadorian climate is very stable and the roses are grown at a high altitude in fertile lava soil. The nightly temperatures are never too high and daytime temperatures are never too extreme. The favourable temperatures combined with the high intensity of the light give these roses a large flower with an intense colour. Four Seasons Quality works with the best rose breeders in Ecuador. We regularly visit our breeders from our office in Quito and we conduct daily quality inspections of the roses. We also arrange transport to the Netherlands, Indonesia, China and America from Quito. The office in Quito stays in touch with our clients in Indonesia, China and America. They know exactly what the market is asking for over there. The client can place an order directly with the seller in Ecuador and will always receive an up-to-date offer. For more regular inspections of a shipment, an employee will visit the cargo agent to physically inspect the shipment. Kenya is located near the equator. This gives breeders an abundance of sunlight and a good division between night and day. Each full day sees twelve hours of sunlight and twelve hours of night. Contrary to the Netherlands, this situation does not change with the seasons. Many breeders operate at an altitude of 1850 metres above sea level, which means the night temperature ranges from 8-12 degrees and the daytime temperature never becomes too high (between 18-28 degrees). This means the greenhouses need no additional heating or cooling. This moderate climate combined with the high intensity of the light will naturally turn the roses into a high-quality product. Due to the high intensity of the light, the roses need no additional artificial light either. Compared to the Netherlands, this results in an energy-efficient growing method.
